BATON ROUGE, La. (KNOE 8 News/AP) - Entergy Corp. and Louisiana Public Service Commission staff members have agreed to the rates that more than 2 million electricity customers in the state will pay monthly for the next five years.

The PSC's five-elected members will be asked to vote on the "stipulated settlement" on Monday.

A typical residential customer of Entergy Louisiana LLC would be asked to pay about 50-cents more to the $97.76 per thousand kilowatt hours of electricity used, starting in December 2014. The typical residential customer buys about 1,300 kHw of electricity per month.

Customers of Entergy Gulf States Louisiana LLC would not see a rate increase until at least September 2016.
