NEW ORLEANS, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Mangham went to the Superdome hoping to leave with an upset win over Haynesville High School, but two turnovers allowed the Golden Tornadoes to run away with the state championship.

Mangham played close to Haynesville early on in the game heading into the half just behind 21 to 14.

However, after exchanging blows early in the second half, Haynesville was able to pull away.

Haynesville recovered a fumble in the end zone after Mangham was pinned deep after trying to run out of the end zone.

Haynesville won its 16th championship 42 to 21.
