32nd annual Ag Expo features education, networking & livestock

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Applications are still being accepted for exhibit space in Ag Expo 2014, scheduled for January 17th and 18th, at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in West Monroe.

Ag Expo is also the trade show for The Louisiana Cattlemen's Association Annual Meeting, which will be held concurrently at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street from Ike Hamilton. 

Ag Expo will feature more than 170 exhibit booths with the newest offerings in products, services and equipment.  New this year will be a Master Farmer program for producers conducted by LSU Ag Center.  And the popular Forestry Forum and Master Gardener Programs will return.   

Livestock show entries are also being accepted.  Interested exhibitors should contact their local 4-H Agent or go to http://www.agexpo.org/ and click on Livestock Show Entry and Schedule for complete information.

Each year, more than 10,000 attend from throughout Louisiana and adjacent regions of Arkansas, Mississippi and Texas.  Exhibitors come from all over the United States.

In addition to the newest products and services for agriculture producers and related businesses, there will be educational displays and programs for the public coordinated through LSU AgCenter, a Jr. Livestock show featuring more than 400 animals, stock dog trials featuring Border Collies, and a Miniature ZEBU Cow Show.
