Downtown Monroe lights up for World Aids Day

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News)- "Go Care" with the help of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority lights up downtown Monroe for World Aids Day.

Exactly 722 luminarias were lit representing the number of reported aids deaths in the Northeast Louisiana region. Go Care hopes people that attended not only remember but decide to spread awareness to be safe and get tested as often you can.

Others that attended showed support for those that are battling with the illness. Go Care encourages people to get tested and stay healthy if you have already contracted the virus.
