Jeremy Pierre comes to the Ark-La-Miss area from the city of New Orleans, La. He prides his educational background, attending two of Louisiana's finest Catholic institutions. Jeremy was prepped at St. Augustine High School and graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana in 2013 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mass Communications- Broadcast Journalism. He is a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalist (NABJ), while also being a mentor in NABJ's High School Journalism Workshop.
News has always been a passion to Jeremy, he loves sharing stories of the communities he serves. His love for Fair, Accurate, and Balance news has not went unnoticed. Jeremy was the first recipient of the Ted Holtzclaw Journalism Excellence Award at the 2013 NABJ Multimedia Short Course. Jeremy was also named NABJ Region V 2013 student journalist of the year. He has worked alongside of the greatest journalist in the profession, which he credits NABJ for. Jeremy developed and began his love for great journalism at WDSU Channel 6 in New Orleans.
When Jeremy isn't at work, he enjoys to practice jazz percussion and play basketball.
