MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A stop at a fast food restaurant Friday night ended in shots being fired at a car with a toddler inside.

Michael Williams, 21, of Monroe, confronted a woman about money at the McDonald's on Highway 165 South. The woman got into her car, along with her 2 year old daughter, attempting to leave the parking lot.

That's when Williams took a 9mm handgun out of his waistband and began shooting at the vehicle. Monroe Police say between 5 to 8 shots were fired. According to police, after shooting at the car, Williams went inside the restaurant and allegedly bragged about shooting at the female, showed his firearm, then left the store. Williams was found a few blocks away on his bicycle.

No one was injured during the shooting, and Williams is charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder, and one count of illegally carrying a weapon.
