Last day of early voting set for Saturday

BATON ROUGE, La. (KNOE 8 News) – Early voting is set to end on Saturday.

Secretary of State Tom Schedler reminds everyone that Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, is the last day to cast an early vote in the Nov. 16 municipal and 5th Congressional District runoff elections. Early voting is available from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at parish Registrar of Voters' Offices or at other designated locations including the State Archives in Baton Rouge.

Voters can also utilize the Secretary of State's smartphone app, GeauxVote Mobile, as well as the Web page to find out what's on the ballot in their local communities.

As a reminder, on Saturday, Nov. 16, elections will be held in the following 39 parishes: Avoyelles, Bienville, Calcasieu, Caldwell, Catahoula, Concordia, East Baton Rouge, East Carroll, East Feliciana, Franklin, Grant, Jackson, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lafourche, LaSalle, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Orleans, Ouachita, Plaquemines, Rapides, Richland, St. Helena, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Tensas, Terrebonne, Vernon, Washington, Webster, West Baton Rouge, West Carroll, West Feliciana and Winn.
