Early voting begins Saturday for November 16th election

BATON ROUGE, La. (KNOE 8 News) — Secretary of State Tom Schedler reminds all registered voters eligible to vote in the November 16th municipal and 5th Congressional District runoff elections to consider voting early starting this Saturday.

Early voting begins Saturday, November 2nd and continues through Saturday, November 9th from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, excluding Sunday, November 3rd.

Citizens who want to vote early may do so in person at their parish Registrar of Voters' Office or at other designated locations including the State Archives in Baton Rouge.

For a complete listing of early voting locations, visit www.sos.la.gov/ElectionsAndVoting/Pages/EarlyVotingLocations.aspx. Voters can also utilize the Secretary of State's smartphone app, GeauxVote Mobile, as well as the GeauxVote.com Web page to find out where to vote, what's on their ballot and their voting districts.

Elections will be held in the following 39 parishes:

Avoyelles, Bienville, Calcasieu, Caldwell, Cameron, Catahoula, Concordia, East Baton Rouge, East Carroll, East Feliciana, Franklin, Grant, Jackson, Jefferson, Jefferson Davis, Lafourche, LaSalle, Lincoln, Madison, Morehouse, Orleans, Ouachita, Plaquemines, Rapides, Richland, St. Helena, St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Tensas, Terrebonne, Vernon, Washington, Webster, West Baton Rouge, West Carroll, West Feliciana and Winn.
