Justice and Remembrance Walk for Brittany Crenshaw

Posted: Updated:

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Friends and family gathered by the dozens Saturday at Forsythe Park in honor of Brittany Crenshaw.

The young woman was found murdered last year, after being reported missing in Mississippi. Her family says they are trying to raise money to buy Crenshaw a proper headstone, and help provide for her young daughter, but Crenshaw's mother said the event was about so much more.

"Let everybody know I am not giving up on my daughter," says Gina Moore, "I never gave up on her years ago and I am never going to give up on her now. I am going to continue this fight to bring justice for my daughter and grand daughter she deserves that."

Crenshaw's boyfriend Benjamin Davis is charged with her homicide in Mississippi, but has not been indicted and is currently out of jail on bond.
