WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Today, hundreds enjoyed a day in Kiroli Park, at the annual Buddy Walk.

Discovering Downs with Northeast Louisiana organized a fun day in the park that featured a mile walk, dancing, food, and bounce houses.

The group says the purpose of the event is to raise awareness for the acceptance and inclusion of those with Down syndrome.

This annual event takes place every October, which is Down syndrome awareness month.
