WARREN COUNTY, Miss. (KNOE 8 News/WJTV) - A 14-year-old passenger in a Warren County accident dies at University Medical Center on Tuesday.

The Warren County Coroner confirmed Brice Bishop died from his injuries caused when a Toyota Corolla holding 7 people crashed into a pecan tree.

In happened in the front yard of a home on Newitt Vick Drive just after 9 p.m. on Sunday, witnesses said.

Buddy Freeman and his wife, Colleen Freeman say the splintered tree and tire marks in the lawn are what's left of the accident.

"We heard a loud noise. I remember thinking 'I didn't hear a second car'," Colleen Freeman said.

"I ran out the door and when I got out in the driveway I heard the driver say 'Somebody please help us'," Buddy Freeman said.

"When I called 911, they asked how many people were involved and it was hard to tell at that point. We counted five in the car but then it turned out there were two across the street," Colleen said.

The oldest person was the driver: a sixteen year old. Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace also confirmed the other passengers were a 15-year-old, three 14-year-olds, and two 13-year-olds.

"It was chaos," Buddy said.

A crowd gathered quickly and several people with medical experience stepped in to help but it was clear to Buddy Freeman that the injuries were extremely serious.

"There was a young man laying right on the right side of the car. He was breathing but he was unresponsive. And he had blood coming from his nose," Buddy said, speaking of Brice Bishop.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Witnesses said the children told them they were swerving to avoid a deer.
