Police seek "armed and dangerous" homicide suspect

NATCHITOCHES PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Detectives have issued an all points bulletin in their search for a homicide suspect. 

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr. says Sunday, just before midnight, the 911 center received a report of a home invasion on Willie Walker Road in Creston.

37-year-old Ted Charles Brou was found dead at the scene from an apparent gunshot wound. 

Deputies have issued an all points bulletin for a suspect. He's identified as Alan Virgil Brumfield.

Brumfield is described as a white man, 48-years-old, five-feet ten-inches tall, 150 pounds, partially gray hair with hazel eyes. Brumfield is wanted for 1st degree murder, home invasion, and second degree kidnapping. 

Brumfield is believed to driving a blue Nissan Sentra, Hertz rental car, bearing Florida License# 386LYE. Brumfield has prior criminal history in Florida, and false imprisonment-with a dangerous weapon in Louisiana. He is believed to be armed and dangerous.
