UNION BEACH, N.J. (KNOE 8 News/AP) - It's been nearly a year since Superstorm Sandy, and some Jersey shore families still can't return home.

Gigi Liaguno-Dorr needs $2 million to rebuild her bayfront restaurant. Simone and Ken Dannecker used all their money to fix their home, and are now they're bankrupt.

And Bart Sutton tore down his damaged home after fighting with his insurance company.

A week later, the money came through.
