UPDATE: One arrested after boating accident on Ouachita River

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - One man has been arrested after a boating accident on the Ouachita River that sent two to the hospital.

Frank Brussel along with a passenger was riding a jet ski on the Ouachita River when it hit a boat with two on board. Both vessels took on water, and the boat capsized.

The four involved were found by another group boaters and brought to safety at the Moon Lake boat ramp.

LDWF confirms that alcohol was a factor in the crash. Brussel was arrested on one count of Reckless Operation of a Water Craft and Driving While Intoxicated.

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A boating accident on Moon Lake sends two people to the hospital.

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries reports that 4 people were involved in a boating accident Sunday. Two people were on one vessel, two on the other, and the types of vessels have not been reported.

Two of those involved have been transported to the hospital for treatment.

A family on another boat brought those involved back to the boat ramp after finding them in the water after in accident.

Details of the water crafts and accident have not been released, along with the names of those involved.
