KHARTOUM, Sudan (KNOE 8 News/AP) - Amnesty International and another leading human rights group says police in Sudan have killed at least 50 people this week when they moved to quell angry protests over the government's cut of fuel subsidies.

The groups say most of those killed in two days of rioting were between 19 and 26 years old.

But youth activists and doctors at a hospital in Khartoum say at least 100 people have died since protests broke out Monday.
