LINCOLN PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The sheriff's office has arrested two men wanted in residential burglaries and are seeking a third suspect.

On Monday, a Lincoln Parish resident returned home just southwest of the Ruston city limits and discovered burglars leaving his home. The suspects ran away into a wooded area east of the victim's home.

The block of woods was searched. Several hours later they found and arrested Cornelius Spivey. When arrested, Spivey stated that he had been involved in the burglary and spoke of his connection to another recent burglary.

Also on Monday, The sheriff's office was called to another home burglary Highway 563, south of Simsboro. Investigators determined the firearms taken during this burglary may be in the possession of Demario Candler.

This was investigated and ultimately led to Candler's arrest. Candler was discovered, hiding in a bathroom closet, on East Florida in Ruston. Several warrants existed for Candler's arrest and the investigation revealed evidence sufficient to charge Candler with the 563 burglary.

And, The Lincoln Parish Sheriff's Office is also seeking Devarius Spivey, and currently hold two active warrants for his arrest. Devarius Spivey is a brother to the arrested Cornelius Spivey.

The sheriff's office is urging the public to contact CRIME STOPPERS at 318-255-1111 with any information relative to the above described arrests or any information regarding the whereabouts of Devarius Spivey.
