Woman dragged by car, 2 arrested

WEST MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Two men have been arrested in connection to a woman being dragged by a car.

The incident happened on the 300 block of Pink St. in West Monroe.

Demarcus Williams, 28, allegedly took $48 from a woman and pulled out parts of her hair. He proceeded to leave the scene in a car Laderrall Williams, 23, was driving.

Laderrall later admitted to police that he did drive away, but stated that he did not know that the woman was attached.

Demarcus Williams was booked on charges of simple battery and simple robbery. Laderrall Williams was booked for reckless operation.

Both are being held at the Ouachita Correctional Center.
