Rayville family searches for missing man one year later

RAYVILLE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A family in Richland Parish continues to look for answers a year after Joshua Berry went missing.

Friday night his family and friends held a candlelight vigil to remember Berry and to continue praying for answers.

Joshua Berry's little girls say they know one day he'll come home. That hope is instilled in them everyday by their mother, Jessica, who says she waits everyday for the phone to ring and hear from Berry.

"I miss him the most when something really good happens, like I get lots of good grades. I remember him hugging me when I get good grades," says Berry's oldest daughter.

One year has passed since Joshua Berry's truck was found in Richland Parish.

"I feel like every night for this past year," says Berry's sister, Priscilla, "everybody in this family thinks the same thing they have the same questions where, why, when how, what."

There have been no leads in the case, but the Berry's believe someone has to know something, and they are still asking for answers.

Jessica was pregnant with their third little girl when Joshua Berry went missing.

"He's never seen her," says Jessica, "doesn't even know her, and that's the hardest thing we deal with from day to day."

A year may have passed, but this family says they will never stop looking for answers, the same way they will never stop loving Joshua Berry.
