BOSSIER CITY, La. (KNOE 8 News/AP) - Bossier City officials say a Shreveport police officer has been arrested on a charge of malfeasance in office as the result of a prostitution investigation.

43-year-old Efrain Conde of Shreveport was booked Wednesday.

Conde was arrested after a Bossier City Police vice sting nabbed a 40-year-old woman on a prostitution charge. During the sting operation at a Bossier hotel, Bossier officers noticed a man sitting in the driver's seat of a parked Shreveport police car.

Bossier police said they investigated and identified the man as Conde, who was on duty. They allege that Conde had arranged to meet the woman at the hotel to pay for sex.

Shreveport police earlier this week said Conde had been placed on administrative leave.
