Posted: Updated:

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - The group "All Hounds on Deck," is a relatively new local organization helping place large dogs into forever homes.

Large dogs are typically are less likely to be adopted from shelters, and the group, run by Elizabeth Grant Gibson and Sandy Lunte, aims to change that.

The dogs pictured in the photo are one-year-old "Bassadors," which are a lab and basset hound mix.

Otis and Omar are ready to be adopted; they are already neutered, are house trained, have all of their shots and are already micro chipped. They're currently being fostered, and have been for the past few months while they wait to meet their forever family.

You can meet Otis and Omar, and learn more about the "All Hounds on Deck" organization on Tuesday, August 27th, from 3-5PM at Forsythe Park in Monroe.

They will also be making an appearance at Tractor Supply Co. on Mane Street in West Monroe.

For additional information on the group, we've included a link to their Facebook page.
