UNION PARISH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A Marion teenager is jailed on a charge of aggravated second-degree battery for hitting another man with a beer bottle.

Jordan Brantley, 18, of 5448 Hwy. 33, was booked Saturday into the Union Parish Detention Center. The arrest came after a complaint was filed against him by the victim who suffered facial injuries under the left eye.

The victim told deputies he has been experiencing  pain, dizziness and swelling since the August 17th incident. He told deputies that he had gone to a party near Farmerville to pick up a friend when he was approached by an unknown male wanting to fight. The victim said Brantley joined in the fight, hitting him with the bottle and then running off.

Brantley's bond was set at $7,500. Brantley was arrested in November after a domestic disturbance with his mother.
