5 arrested in Monroe burglary

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News)- Five people are now in custody in connection with a reported aggravated burglary.

According to the Monroe Police Department early Friday morning 4 people broke into a home on the 1400 block of Glenmar avenue in Monroe Garden District.

Once inside police say they begun to remove electronic items. One of the robbers produced a hand gun and forced the owner to turn over his wallet, phone, and other personal items.

Another person found in the getaway car was also taken into custody and all five involved were arrested for aggravated burglary and unauthorized use of an access card.

Those arrested in the early morning crime were Christina Self, Charles Mitchell Jr., Joseph Miller along with Brandon and Nicole Dickerson. All five have been booked at Ouachita Correctional Center.
