Sterlington stabbing sends one to hospital

STERLINGTON, La. (KNOE 8 News) - An argument between two backseat passengers gets physical and sends one victim to the hospital with stab wounds.

Just before 7:30 Sunday morning, the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a stabbing on Highway 165 North in Sterlington. An investigation revealed Donovon C. White, 30, and Carlos L. Alford, 28, were arguing in the backseat of a car traveling on Highway 165. The argument became physical when White stabbed Alford several times with a knife. Police say White bit another passenger before getting out of the car.

Alford was transported to a local hospital for treatment, while White was transported to the OCC and booked for Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and Simple Battery.
