This is one of many projects in the community recreation enhancement project and a continuation of the cities five year plan to provide facility improvements to benefit low and moderate income children.

"When I talk about the signs of progress through out the city of Monroe and everywhere you look you see signs of progress and this is no exception here at Marbles Community Center" says mayo.

According to Park and Recreation representative Jimmy Jones it is not just about beautifying the community centers its about helping local children.

"We believe in enhancing the quality of life in order to do that you have to move forward with the equipment as well as the products also so we think its team work it goes hand in hand" say Jones.

They hope this playground and many others will provide a safe place for local children to play and exercise.
