Revolution Park to honor servicemen & women

MONROE, La (KNOE 8 News) - Revolution Park is hosting the Bumper to Bumper Firecracker 50 racing event in honor of the servicemen and women of the United States Armed Forces, veterans and their families on Saturday, July 6, 2013, starting at 4pm.

In conjunction with NASCAR, Revolution Park is partaking in NASCAR's An American Salute initiative. Through a partnership with A Million Thanks, an organization dedicated to showing appreciation for U.S. military men and women through varying forms of correspondence, a Thank You letter drop box will be on site for race fans to drop personalized letters to active U.S. troops.  

The Wix Richard Petty Pace car will be on site. Corvettes of NELA will have race fans vote for the "Best of Show" corvette. And Bumper to Bumper is giving away tons of merchandise with their pre- race toss and race night raffles.
