MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A West Ouachita Parish teen convicted of killing both of his parents has a new sentencing hearing this year.

The Louisiana Second Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that Dalton Fletcher, who is serving two life sentences without the possibility of parole, will be re-sentenced.

Fletcher's attorney, Charles Kincade, will be representing his client, scheduled on October 10 and 11 at the Bossier Parish Courthouse in Benton.

Last year, the Louisiana Supreme Court ruled mandatory life sentences without the possibility of parole cannot be handed down to minors convicted of murder.

Dalton Fletcher's two murder convictions will stand.
