MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Wicked weather is to blame for one family of nine hoping to find a new temporary place to live as of Friday night. The Henry Family 400-block of Vernon Street in South Monroe is seeking a helping hand.

The dad, Joel Henry, the mom and seven children are staying at a neighbors house to beat the daytime heat. This is all after a tree fell onto their home Friday night during the stormy weather. The parents say their landlord is not helping out. They're now depending on the Red Cross and friends for helping hand.

Both parents say, them along with the children, were able to get out of the home before the tree fell.

No one was injured as a result of that damage.
