UPDATE: An arrest warrant has been obtained for Terrance Woods, a black male, age 25, for Aggravated Second Degree Battery in connection with the shooting on Egan Street. Bond has been set at $100,000. Anyone with information about Woods location is urged to contact Monroe Police at 329-2600 or Crime Stoppers at 388-2274 or  crimestopperstip.com. UPDATE: MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Two men were injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in south Monroe near E.A. Conway Hospital.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. on Egan and Jackson Streets. Police are actively looking for a suspect in that vicinity. Police say the two men were shot with a shotgun. Police say the ammunition used was bird shot or a low caliber round.

By the time police arrived at the scene, the men had already made their way to E.A. Conway Hospital. They were not taken by ambulance.

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe Police are working a shooting near Egan Street.

Sgt. Mark Johnson tells KNOE 8 News that two people were shot and that detectives are on the scene. The shooting happened just after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. No other information is being released at this time.
