KISATCHIE FOREST, La (KNOE 8 News) - Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that killed a Choudrant man.

Saturday morning, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Deputies, Louisiana State Police, and Kisatchie Forest Ranger District Law Enforcement Agents responded to a motorcycle crash in the Kisatchie National Forest that resulted in the death of a Lincoln Parish man.

Just before 11:00 a.m. the 911 Center received a report of a motorcycle crash with severe injuries on the Sand Stone Trail in the Kisatchie National Forest.

Gordon L. Williams Jr., 51 of the 200 block of Pylant Road, Choudrant, La., was pronounced dead at the scene by the Natchitoches Parish Coroner's Office.

Deputies say Williams was operating a Yamaha 250 Dirt Bike, with a group of riders on the Sand Stone Trail, when he apparently lost control of the motorcycle, ejecting him causing fatal injuries.

Williams was wearing a helmet and protective gear. Toxicology reports are pending.

The investigation into the crash is continuing by the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office, Kisatchie Ranger District and Natchitoches Parish Coroner's Office.
