Crane operator in police custody

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (KNOE 8 News) - The crane operator wanted for involuntary manslaughter in the deadly Philadelphia building collapse is now in police custody.

Authorities say 42-year-old Sean Benschop turned himself in Saturday. Benschop will be charged with six counts of involuntary manslaughter, 13 counts of reckless endangerment and one count of "risking a catastrophe."

Six people were killed and 13 others injured when a four-story wall collapsed on a thrift store in downtown Philadelphia on Wednesday.
