RUSTON, La. (AP) - Louisiana Tech head coach Teresa Weatherspoon says the Lady Techster basketball program has signed junior college point guard Christassia Walter to a national letter of intent.

The 5-foot-8-inch Walter originally signed with Arkansas after a prep career at Arkansas High School in Texarkana, Ark.

During her one season in Fayetteville, Walter played in 26 games for the Razorbacks where she averaged 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 32 percent from the field, 64 percent from the free throw line and 17-of-56 from the three-point line.

This past season Walter led Hutchinson Community College to a 36-2 record and a No.3 national ranking among Division I junior college teams as she averaged 13.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.8 steals per game.
