CONWAY, Ark. (AP) - A Labrador retriever named Fatty who belongs to a husband and wife both deployed overseas has returned home to Conway after disappearing for more than a week.

Gene and Lori Chambliss were watching the 3-year-old chocolate Lab while their son and his wife were serving in Afghanistan.

Lori Chambliss says her son, Tyler Cole, was devastated when he learned the dog had escaped from a backyard. She says someone spotted the dog after reading about it in the newspaper.

A group of friends and family were then able to corral Fatty and bring him back home over the weekend.

Cole's wife, Cassie, says she's relieved their beloved dog will be there to greet them when they return home from their deployments.
