Arklamiss Adventures: Woodworking

ROCKY BRANCH, La. (KNOE 8 News) - In this week's edition of "Arklamiss Adventures," April and Amanda traveled to Rocky Branch to visit a familiar face, KNOE Chief Meteorologist Tom Pearson.

One of Tom's less known talents is his ability to woodwork. He creates everything from birdhouses to bedroom sets.

Tom helped April and Amanda create a birdhouse on their visit.

First, Tom says you have to sketch out a plan. Once the plan is done, it's time to measure and cut the pieces of wood. Tom used a picket of a fence as his wood choice.

Once the wood was cut and measured, Tom helped the ladies assemble the parts with a nail gun.

The birdhouse was missing something though. It had no color. So KNOE's morning technical director, Josh Talbot, and his son Kannon spray painted the birdhouse red.

Stay tuned to Good Morning Arklamiss next Monday. You never know where April and Amanda will end up next!
