Prosecutors believe West Memphis 3 are men who murdered boys

Posted: Updated:

JONESBORO, Ark. (KNOE 8 News) - A prosecutor says no credible new evidence has come up to point to a new suspect in the killings of three West Memphis Cub Scouts 20 years ago.

Three 8-year-olds disappeared 20 years ago Sunday. Their bodies were found the next day.

Prosecutors say they get information on the case almost everyday but no evidence has been presented to change their minds as to who committed the crimes.

Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley Jr. spent 18 years in prison before a plea agreement in 2011 allowed them to go free prior to a retrial.
