MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has declared Saturday, May 4, Lemonade Day. Locals were celebrating at the Monroe Rivermarket.  The day is meant for adults to teach teens and children about business management skills. The "lemonaders" in our area are giving the money earned Saturday and every Saturday toward a good cause.

"Our fundraiser is an annual event," Roxanne Smith said. "We are actually choosing our beneficiary this weekend. We choose a different beneficiary every year.We raise funds all year long for that beneficiary and donate 100% of our earnings."

This is the fifth year Smith is raising money to help others. To join in with Smith, you can visit her website for more information. Click here: Annual Benefit Facebook page
