UPDATE: Stabbing suspect turns self in

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe police say Willie Cooke has turned himself in to officers. 

Investigators say Cook showed up at the front desk at the Monroe Police Department. Officers then transported Cook to OCC and he is being booked on an Aggravated Battery charge. 


MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe police officers are on the hunt for a man accused in a stabbing.

Investigators say Willie Cook is the man they're looking for after the crime on the 1100-Block of Adams Street Saturday afternoon. 

Police say, witnesses on the scene told them, the stabbing victim approached Cook about damage to his car.

The victim reportedly had sugar in the tank of his vehicle and believed Cook was the culprit behind the crime.

Police say Cook is accused of stabbing the victim in the arm and shoulder before running away.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non life threatening but moderate injuries.

Cook is wanted for Aggravated Battery charges.
