UPDATE: Police looking for car involved in shooting

UPDATE SUNDAY

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe investigators are looking for a silver four-door Mitsubishi Mirage. There's no tag information. Detectives say several people were inside the vehicle at the time.

This after a man was shot on the 1400 block of South 7th Street in Monroe Saturday night.

Police say the victim is recovering from a bullet wound to his back.

Investigators say call Crime Stoppers at (318) 388-2274.

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Police are looking into a shooting that left one man injured.

According to officers, a man is suffering from a bullet wound on his back after being shot on the 1400 block of South 7th Street around 9 P.M.

Police say two shots were fired but the victim took one hit, while trying to ride his bike after some sort of exchange with another person sitting inside a vehicle.

The victim was alert and responsive while being rushed to the hospital.

Officers say the shooter along with the vehicle left the scene before police arrived.
