GRAMBLING, La. (KNOE 8 News) -Police are looking into a shooting on the campus of Grambling State University. A spokesman says three students were injured Monday night around 7 P.M.

University leaders say Tracy Lamar Greene Jr., 19, was shot in the lower leg and rushed to the hospital. Greene is listed in stable condition. Brandon Cooper, 21, showed up to a hospital , according to university leaders, with bullet wounds in his right forearm and his left thigh. No word on Cooper's condition. Also, a university spokesman says a third student, Jarion Walker, 20, has a bullet wound on his leg. No word on Walker's condition.

It all happened outside Douglas Hall, formally known as Building 800.

Spokesman Will Sutton says a residential assistant alerted police of the shooting.

Students say the person that pulled the trigger is not believed to be associated with the school.

"They were not even a college student so we don't want to hear no bad publicity for Grambling. That has nothing to do with us," Trey Jones, a junior, said.
