MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Many questions are surrounding Carroll Junior High School and its staff after a report of "testing irregularities." The newest information, two of the school's leaders are not in the building.

Where are Carroll Junior High School principal Angela Manning and assistant principal Danzie Pierce? Have they been at school this week? These are questions many want answers to, after a recent report of "testing irregularities.

We walked into the office at Carroll Junior High and asked for the principal they told us she wasn't there. Then we asked for the assistant principal, they told us he was also not there.

We asked when they would return, and they said they didn't know. The school also told us to direct all of my questions to the school board office. Next, we went to the school board office. Interim superintendent, Derenda Flowers, says the investigation is ongoing. Flowers also told us, she is not at liberty to discuss personnel matters.

We also spoke with several school board members. They have heard rumblings, but could not confirm anything for us. While we were across the street from the school, students approached us. They told us the principal and assistant principal's absence had to do with the testing irregularities. The students said when they asked teachers, they wouldn't discuss it.

Last week, Monroe City Schools reported Carroll may have a breech in security in it's standardized testing. The allegation, a seventh grade teacher was teaching directly from the test booklets.

Earlier this week, Flowers told us there was no sign any students had access to any test items.
