MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Former Monroe City Councilmen Arthur Gilmore is asking to be tried separately from Robert Stevens.

Gilmore's attorney, Charles Kincade tells KNOE they filed the motion because they do not believe the councilmen can have a fair trial, if tried together. Kincade says they are still waiting to hear back from the court. As of now, the trial is set for April 22nd in Shreveport.
