Louisville wins national championship

ATLANTA, Ga. (KNOE 8 News) - Louisville has won the NCAA national championship in basketball.

The Cardinals trailed at halftime, but stormed back to defeat the Michigan Wolverines 82-76.

Michigan came out strong in the first half thanks to the hot shooting of freshman Spike Albrecht who hit his first four three point attempts.

But Louisville's Luke Hancock responded with five three pointers of his own to lead the Cardinals to victory.

Rick Pitino has now become the first head coach in history to win a national championship at two different schools.
