Sixth person has now been arrested in Vicksburg shooting death

VICKSBURG, Ms. (KNOE 8 News) - A 16-year-old has become the sixth person arrested in the shooting death of a Vicksburg High School student.

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace the youth was arrested Wednesday at his home on a murder warrant.

Five other teens are charged with murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Ke'Marvin Stamps.

Stamps died March 16 at University Medical Center in Jackson after being shot in the head shortly before midnight March 15.

Pace says Stamps and another teen were walking when Stamps exchanged words with several men in a truck. As the truck drove away, a shot fired from the truck hit Stamps in the head.

Pace says all six teens are believed to have been in the truck at the time of the shooting.
