MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Prom season has started in the ArkLaMiss and students at Cedar Creek School are learning what one bad decision could lead to on prom night.
As part of a mock crash program, the drama club dressed in prom attire, and showed what could happen if the driver had been drinking. The school and local law enforcement are hoping that the images of the re-enactment, make students stop and think before have a drink and getting behind the wheel.
"As they begin on their prom and senior years and stuff like that," says Brandon Milner of Ruston Police, "they can see this and say well it can happen to me because they can see some of their fellow students out there."
After such a graphic display of the "what if" Cedar Creek students will hopefully be that much safer on their prom night.
