OUACHITA PARISH (KNOE 8 News) - Two people are in custody Tuesday afternoon following an incident involving a gun on Magnolia Drive in Ouachita Parish.
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a man in the street carrying a gun. Lt. David Crain tells our crew on the scene that no shots were fired, but that two suspects were taken into custody.
Crain says they are currently in the process of obtaining a search warrant for one of the homes involved in the incident and they are looking into reports of a third suspect. The incident occurred near Jack Hayes Elementary and River Oaks Schools, the schools were placed on lock down for about an hour. Crain says those lock downs have since been lifted.
