MONROE, La., (KNOE 8 News) - On Wednesday, March 20th, Wossman High School will be conducting a "Lockdown" drill at approximately 10:00 am.
The purpose of the drill is to examine and test the emergency functions and response of school staff and students and to prepare for times of emergency. Monroe Police will be cooperating and present at the school to assist staff with security concerns.
It is requested the media announce and place this information on its websites to inform the public and parents that the activity is a drill and not an actual emergency.
Parents are urged to contact the school board or Wossman High if they have any questions regarding the drill.
