3 Grayson men arrested on drug charges

GRAYSON, La., (KNOE 8 News) - Officers had gone to an address on Highway 850 to serve a warrant for FTA Child Support.

After arriving on the scene, the suspect of the warrant was located in a travel trailer. The suspect, Tyral Fitzgerald, was placed under arrest, at which time officers say they saw what they suspected was a "meth pipe" in plain view.

They say Fitzgerald then consented to a search of the trailer, which resulted in the discovery of what was reported to be several dozen bags of methamphetamine, several large chunks of suspected methamphetamine, scales, empty bags, and needles.

Also during the search, officers said they found Larry J. Rider hiding under the covers in a bedroom. Rider was apparently wanted by Louisiana parole officials as well as by the Caldwell Sheriff's office for battery of a police officer and resisting arrest.

In addition, a Matthew Smith was arrested as well.

All three men, in addition to their respective warrants, were charged with possession of paraphernalia and possession of a schedule II substance, with intent to distribute.
