EAST CARROLL PARISH, La., (KNOE 8 News) - The East Carroll Water System South has issued a boil advisory for part of its system area.
The advisory, effective immediately, includes that part of the system located in the area from the water tower to Highway 580.
The advisory is necessary because of a break in an 8" water main.
Under the advisory all customers in the affected area should boil their water before ANY use having to do with human consumption. This includes drinking, brushing teeth, cleaning food, etc.
The boiling needed is defined as "brining the water to a full rolling boil...and letting it boil for at least one full minute before usage.":
