MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - A former Monroe city leader is getting ready to face a judge for formal charges.
Sinyale Morrison, the former city engineer, had been scheduled for arraignment Monday the 18th at 9:00 a.m. in Ouachita Parish. However, that arraignment has now been moved back to April 1st due to scheduling conflicts.
Morrison along with former city employee Ricardo Nance, each received a payroll fraud indictment.
If convicted, Morrison and Nance face up to five years behind bars.
