Monroe pub raises money for a good cause

Posted: Updated:

MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - It's a weekend for wearing green in honor of St. Patrick's Day. It's also a day when many people are raising their glasses for a cold drink. But one bar asked its customers to spend the green for a good cause.

Enoch's Irish Pub in Monroe is hosting its yearly fundraiser for Saint Paul De Vincint's Community Pharmacy.  They're even donating some of the money made off the green booze and food to the pharmacy.

Pub owners say they've been doing it for about a decade now.

"Basically, it's for people who are having to choose between living expenses or their medication so you know, I think it's a wonderful organization," Owner Yvette Jeter said.

Pub owners teamed up with another business to raise funds for Saint Paul De Vincint's Sunday.
