MONROE, La. (KNOE 8 News) - Monroe is one step closer to finding an animal control officer.
Thursday, Monroe Police along with members from the community and animal rights groups narrowed the search from 7 to 4. One of the four left because he didn't have time, and needed to get to back to work, leaving 3. Those 3 candidates will be forwarded to Chief Homles. If he doesn't like these candidates, the board can meet again to review applications that didn't make the deadline.
